Are stem cells FDA approved?

The FDA has allowed the Tissue Banks to regulate the UCBSC treatments.

Stem cell therapy is a natural treatment. Natural treatments are not approved by the FDA.

How long does the treatment take?

The actual injection is extremely short, and takes up to 10 minutes, including cleaning off area and making the injection points. Consultation and prep is based on each patient.

How many treatments do I need?

Each patient varies.

  • Based on previous research, the body responds very well to one treatment. Others benefit from a second therapy 3-6 months later.
  • Some patients will need a regularly scheduled treatment every six months for anti-inflammatory benefits, especially in areas filled with metal from surgeries, degenerative issues, or scar tissue.
  • Stem cells reproduce every 28 hours for about 65 generations for approximately 90 days.

Are there any potential side effects?

Possible discomfort due to the injection.

  • 2% or fewer patients experience flu-like symptoms; very rare.
  • Limited physical activity briefly after therapy (as advised by your health care professional).
  • If possible, limit anti-inflammatory drugs before treatment; might cause discomfort.
    • Experts believe inflammation is necessary for stem cells to work.

How Fast Will I See Results?

Each patient varies.

  • Typically 4-6 weeks. Some results are immediate; most results will take longer.

Remember, this is a regenerative process and there are no promises for results.

Are there any potential downsides?

Each patient varies.

  • Patients might experience slower results.

However, remember the immunomodulatory effect of stem cells: Stem cells will continue to replicate for approximately 90 days from injection.
